Technology

NexPhase Lighting uses only the highest quality products in their fixtures. This gives them the ability to provide their customers with a six year or 50,000 hour warranty on their fixtures. From the use of Cree LEDs to their attention to photo-metrics and thermal management, you get only the highest quality, most reliable products from NexPhase Lighting!

Their patent pending “NexSense” technology gives their customers an additional edge in lighting management and in their customer’s Return on Investment (ROI). Incorporated into many of their fixture designs you’ll find advanced sensory features that expand your energy savings beyond just the use of energy saving LEDs. These features include the following:

PROXIMITY SENSING – The most energy saving light fixture available is one that is not on. Building on this, the NexPhase Proximity Sensor monitors movement within a given space and either dims or shuts the lights off if no movement have been sensed within a given period of time (configurable by the user).

AMBIENT LIGHT SENSING – This sensor takes advantage of the Sun free light (energy). Once the occupant of an office sets the light level they like within their space, this sensor monitors the light level throughout the day. If more light comes into the office as the sun rises, the sensing system reduces the amount of light being given off by the fixture to ensure the light level within the space remains the same. The reverse is also true. If storm clouds move in and block the sunlight that was previously coming into the space, the sensing system increases the amount of light from the fixture (up to the maximum output).

Their fixtures can be controlled through a variety of means. Permissions and the types of controls authorized are assigned during set-up. Fixtures, or groups of fixtures can be controlled via a hand-held remote control, through any smart phone (i.e. iPhone), or via the computer.

Their fixtures are intelligent. They incorporate a MESH Networking technology which allows the fixtures to communicate with each other, wirelessly. The set-up and management of their fixtures allow from the combining of multiple fixtures into a given group… Specific offices, hallways, stairwells, conference rooms, etc.

• NexPhase Lighting, Inc. has just completed the delivery of product to 1050/1060 Brickell - Ty Ramsey, COO of NexPhase, stated, "We have successfully completed the delivery of the product to 1050/1060 Brickell. We are happy to report that this installation of NexPhase LED product is expected to save 1060 Brickell over $425,000.00 of energy, maintenance and HVAC costs over the next five years."

• NexPhase Lighting, Inc. has received UL compliance approval for it's 2x2 NexSense LED Troffer Series No. TRO75RWD - Jon Cooper, CEO of NexPhase, stated, "UL compliance approval is an essential safety requirement for LED Luminaries and without it we are unable to reputably sell LED lighting fixtures to our customers. Further, in order to take advantage of the numerous utility rebates programs that are available throughout the country, UL compliance is an essential requirement in the harvesting of many of these rebate programs. Any lighting luminaries that do not have UL compliance are unfit for use and deployment in the commercial and residential marketplace. Specifically as it relates to utility rebates, NexPhase is working very closely with Con Edison in New York and to harvest Con Edison specific rebates UL, LM80 and LM79 approvals are required to avail our customers of these lucrative rebate programs."

• NexPhase Lighting, Inc. has submitted for inclusion in the Con Edison Marketing Partner program - Ty Ramsey, COO of NexPhase, stated, "We have been concentrating a lot of our sales efforts in the Metro New York region and we felt that it was essential to join the Con Edison Marketing Partner program to take advantage of the many opportunities this program offers its business partners. We are confident that over the next few years we will be landing significant contracts in the New York greater metropolitan region and it is important for us and our customers to take advantage of the significant rebate opportunities Con Edison is offering its customers thru energy efficiency projects. There are multi-million dollars of lighting efficiency contracts to win in New York and there is a perfect alignment with Con Edison and their aggressive rebate programs to make these opportunities a reality. We expect to win a significant number of contracts in New York and harvest all of the Con Edison rebates to provide the best return on investment for our customers."

• In June, NexPhase Lighting, Inc. announced that UL 1598 and UL 8750 testing has been successfully completed by Intertek for it’s generation II NexSense troffer product and a compliance report will be issued shortly. Jon Cooper, President of NexPhase, stated, “We have worked closely with Intertek on this UL 1598 and UL 8750 testing and we are excited that we have passed all required independent testing for our generation II NexSense Troffer product. These Underwriter Laboratory compliance and safety tests are essential to have in order to sell LED lighting product in commercial applications.” We expect to report the results of other testing in process within the next weeks which will be significant to NexPhase and our customers.

• NexPhase Lighting, Inc. has received a contract to provide product and services to New York University (NYU)-Poly - NYU-Poly is the alliance of the nation’s second oldest private engineering school, Polytechnic with the largest private university in the United States, NYU. The NYU-Poly Brooklyn campus has a current student population of over 1,750 full-time students and the downtown Brooklyn Campus includes: 6 Metrotech, the Jacobs Academic Building, the Rogers Hall complex, 5 MetroTech, the Bern Dibner Library Building, the historic Wunsch Building and the previously mentioned Othmer Residence Hall. These facilities along with the recently announced expansion of an additional 120,000 square feet of academic facilities at 2 MetroTech and 15 Metrotech further signal a growing and thriving world class University. NYU-Poly is already in the second year of a 10 year Thirty Eight million Capital Plan to transform, upgrade and expand its campus facilities, and NexPhase’s intelligent LED lighting solutions and efficient use of best in class sensor technology provide an excellent fit for the i²e initiatives that center around invention, innovation and entrepreneurship.

• On May 19th NexPhase Lighting, Inc. announced the release of their 100 Watt High Bay Product Data Sheet, and the release of their 100 Watt High Bay fixture - This product will be ready for full commercial high volume release in the third quarter of 2011.

• On May 18th NexPhase Lighting, Inc. announced the release of its 1x4 NexSense Troffer Product Data Sheet, and the release of its 1x4 NexSense Troffer product which is the second product release for the NexSense product line.
