Breaking BRZM News:
July 14 - Terrax Adds Technology to the Theia System to Take Advantage of the $250 Million Dollar "Stand-Off" Security Market
Brazilian Mining Corporation (PINKSHEETS: BRZM) -- Terrax, Inc., a fully owned subsidiary of Brazilian Mining Corporation, announces Terrax has moved to expand its overall product line to include additional functionality in real time. The four product groups outlined below are now combined with the capability to deliver data over secure networks in real time.
-
Uniform Encoding, a system for determining the authenticity of the wearer.
-
3D Facial recognition: a system providing facial database matching in real time 3D
-
Thermal Image Analysis: a system to detect small variations in temperature of selected targets, warning of anomalies
-
Hyperspectral Imaging: a system to detect chemical signatures at a safe stand-off distance from a checkpoint
-
Secure Networking, a system providing secured coded data transfer path between Theia systems to a central operator or operations.
Collectively these components, acting together or separately give confidence to the operator that the vehicle or individual being scanned is either a security threat, not a threat, or if additional screen is required. These systems components are designed to be at the forefront of protecting civilian lives in the regions where they will be deployed. The Theia System represents a market size of over 250M dollars in 2010, 2011, of which Terrax has currently negotiated contacts for over 25M and is actively looking to close another 50M. Murray Owen, President of Terrax, stated, "With the additional security functionality added to the Theia system, we now can provide the customer with a single solution for 'Stand-Off' security. The security addition will allow us to expand the market for the Theia system into the network operations of center for security monitoring."

Company Overview
Brazilian Mining (BRZM) focuses on evaluating various potential acquisitions. Previously, it engaged in exploring and mining diamond properties in Brazil. For the past year the company has been searching for companies that fit in their portfolio. Terrax, Inc. is now a fully owned subsidiary of Brazilian Mining Corporation. Terrax Inc
Terrax was found in the early 2000 to address electronic efficiencies in cross boarder shipping for goods moving to and from the US and Canada boarder. Terrax's technologies were developed by a parent company, Clelland Data Sciences. In late in 2000s, Clelland Data Sciences provided Terrax with licensed imaging and integration technologies in partnership with Borstad and Associates. These technologies enable Terrax to supply solutions for real time hyperspectral imaging detection services for civilian usage.
Today Terrax Inc has two business divisions:
-
Terrax Inc, specializing in imaging early detection systems with hyperspectral cameras.
-
Terrax Inc., d.b.a. WeNetShip specializing in cross border documentation systems.
Theia Hyperspectral Camera and Imaging System
Terrax has various systems and new technology yielding an imaging system consisting of cameras, image processors and a network which collectively yield a hyperspectral real time image capture and decoding system.
Their main system is a low power, lightweight hyperspectral imaging system with automated image analysis and data optimization for real time target detection and comparison of the hyperspectral data. It is designed to fit within the size, weight, and power envelope of a portable environment as well as fixed locations. It is robust and includes several on-board real time target detection and data optimization algorithms based on a calibration library.
Thermal Detection
Detection of fever has become an essential step in identifying persons who may have severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) or other infectious viral threats (H1N1). Terrax infrared thermography (IRT) provides early real time detection for close proximity screening requirements.
Agricultural Solutions
Remote sensing (RS) has shown to be an important tool for precision agriculture. For agricultural context, remote sensing (RS) refers to any kind of imagery taken from above a field. Terrax has found different methods that RS can be utilized to aid decision-making, such as, early recognition of crop performance or stresses.

Investment Highlights
BRZM Enters The Rapidly Growing Electronic Security Business
Brazilian Mining Inc (OTCPK:BRZM) recently to announced that the company has activated its new business growth strategy by electing to enter the software and technology sector by acquiring companies or technologies which could lead to rapid growth. As a first step on that path BRZM has signed a Joint Business Agreement with Terrax Inc. Terrax has two primary product groups which have not been able to meet their marketing objectives due to lack of growth capital.
Terrax Inc. brings to the table the potential for early market orders and commitments for its product while BRZM provides the growth capital. This is a timely synergistic arrangement for the companies. It gives BRZM an entry into new business ventures and should provide a good return for BRZM shareholders both in the short and long term. It could also give the company traction in the investment business for high technology. For Terrax, it gives badly needed expansion capital and order fulfillment financing. Over time there will be opportunities for Terrax/BRZM to attract larger financing to foster yet another growth cycle for the Terrax/BRZM entity.
Robust Demand For Security Systems
Electronic security system demand in the US increased 3.6% annually from 2003 to $9.7 billion in 2008. Electronic security system demand in the US is forecast to increase 4.3% per year from a low 2008 base to $12.0 billion in 2013. Access controls is projected to be the largest and fastest growing product segment during the 2008-2013 period, with demand climbing 5.8% per annum to $4.0 billion, driven by rising interest in automating security functions and shifting away from manned security. Demand for electronic security systems in consumer applications is forecast to expand 4.8% annually through 2013 to $3.4 billion, making it the leading and fastest growing market segment.
Technologically Advanced Niche Products
Terrax's first product group comprises of a software product called WeNetShip. This is an effective software solution for US exporters wishing to enter foreign markets and reducing their costs by doing so. The second product group comprises the Theia camera and imaging system that identifies materials which are remote from the detectors and report them over a secure network to the trained operators. Applications for this technology are in civilian markets such as sophisticated security systems for homes, businesses or commercial venues.
New Director To Define Its Business Model And Chart Long Term Growth Plan
Brazilian Mining, as a result of the new joint business agreement with Terrax Inc., announced that the President of Terrax, Mr. Murray Owen, of Boise, Idaho, will join the BRZM Board. Mr. Owen brings over 25 years of management and marketing experience which will help BRZM define its business model and chart out a long term growth plan for the security business of the company thereby benefiting all the shareholders.
Terrax Inc. Attends Security Conference In Turkey
Recently, Mr. Doug Melvin, security advisor, to BRZM was invited to attend and speak at the Afghanistan Reconstruction Conference in Istanbul Turkey. The conference, held in January 2010 was organized by the countries currently involved in security and reconstruction efforts in Afghanistan. Attendees of summit included Prime Ministers, cabinet level officials, and senior governmental and non-governmental leaders. Mr. Melvin discussed the benefits associated with the deployment of the Terrax "Theia" camera on the current security situation globally, as well as, in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iraq. The consensus of the senior security officials attending the conference was that the "Theia" camera would have a significant impact on the stability and security of Afghanistan and the region.
Mr. Melvin held multiple meetings with senior generals representing International Security Force Afghanistan (ISAF) regarding the civilian capabilities of the Theia Project. Mr. Melvin concluded his meetings with Senior Turkish Generals and former Prime Minister of Turkey to review accelerated means to acquire the Theia systems.
